RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
ADOPTING A RESOLUTION TO AMEND CHAPTER II.
(CONSTRAINTS ANALYSIS AND SITE SELECTION) OF THE HILLSIDE
DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES REGARDING VISIBILITY
WHEREAS, the Hillside Development Standards and Guidelines (HDS&G) were adopted
by the Town Council in January 2004; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission considered the proposed amendments on
September 23, 2015, October 21, 2015, and December 2, 2015 and forwarded the proposed
amendments to Chapter II. of the HDS&G regarding the visibility analysis to the Town Council.
WHEREAS, the Town Council considered the proposed amendments on February 2,
2016 and remanded the amendments to staff with direction to provide further clarification and
additional guidance to applicants, staff, and deciding bodies; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council Policy Committee considered the proposed amendments
on April 20, 2017, May 18, 2017, June 26, 2017, and July 20, 2017 and forwarded a
recommendation to the Town Council to adopt the amendments to Chapter II. of the HDS&G
regarding the visibility analysis; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1.The Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos adopts the amendments to Chapter
II. of the HDS&G and all findings set forth in the documents attached hereto as Exhibits A and B.

2.The decision constitutes a final administrative decision pursuant to Code of Civil
Procedure section 1094.6 as adopted by section 1.10.085 of the Town Code of the Town of Los
Gatos. Any application for judicial relief from this decision must be sought within the time
limits and pursuant to the procedures established by Code of Civil Procedure section 1094.6, or
such shorter time as required by state and federal Law.

Gatos, California, held on the 19 th day of December, 2017, by the following vote:
