RESOLUTION 2019 -
RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS AUTHORIZING
THE PROVISION OF A SUPPLEMENTAL MILITARY LEAVE BENEFIT FOR EMPLOYEES
CALLED TO ACTIVE MILITARY DUTY
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos currently provides military leave benefits pursuant to
the California Military and Veterans Code and the Federal Uniformed Services Employment and
Reemployment Rights Act of 1994; and
WHEREAS, the Town provides employees their full and regular salary and all benefits for
the first thirty (30) days after they are called into military service; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council wishes to adopt a supplemental military leave benefit.
RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State
of California, that the Town of Los Gatos shall provide supplemental military leave benefits to
reservists called to active duty.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Manager shall develop and administer an
implementation plan for this benefit extension.
