Main Street Los Gatos, CA 95030 TIME ITEM ACTION ON ITEM 6:00 PM TOWN COUNCIL The Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos met in the Council Chambers of the Town of Hall, 110 East Main Street, at 7:00 PM, February 22, 2005, in a Study session. 6:01 PM ROLL CALL All Council Members were present. 6:02 PM WEST VALLEY SOLID WASTE MAMAGEMENT AUTHORITY Informational report on West Valley Solid waste Management Authority Board process for collection and disposal contract procurement, and rate adjustments. 6:03 PM VERBAL COMMUNICATION Mr. Davis Commented regarding dumpster lids being left open, and suggested that the public advise Green Valley Disposal to post signs on each dumpster requiring that lids are to remain closed. 6:07 PM CLOSE VERBAL COMMUNICATION 6:08 PM PRESENTATION Report made by Regina Falkner. Presentation by: Scott Hobson, Executive Director, West Valley Solid Waste Management Authority Board. Recommended procurement process which included: Negotiated disposal agreement with Guadalupe Landfill (Waste Management). Request for proposal from interested haulers. Description of rate adjustment process. 6:20 PM COUNCIL Update on the diversion rate. Direction: Staff will work with Council and keep them informed of the procurement process. Rate adjustment request will come to Council on April 18, 2005, and input will be noted in time for the May Board meeting. 6:54 PM STUDY SESSION ADJOURNED Submitted by: Attest: Jackie D.
