TOWN COUNCIL/PARKING AUTHORITY
The Town Council/Parking Authority of the Town of Los Gatos met in the Council Chambers of the
Town Hall, 110 East Main Street, at 7:30 P.M., Monday, September 28, 1998, in study session.
ATTENDANCE
Present:Mayor Linda Lubeck; Councilmembers: Randy Attaway, Joanne Benjamin,
Steve Blanton, Jan Hutchins; Planning Commissioners: Marcia Jensen, Kathryn
Morgan, Laura Nachison, Joe Pirzynski; Town Manager David Knapp; Town
Attorney Orry Korb; Town Traffic Engineer Mark Wessel; Planning Director Lee
Bowman; Planner Sandy Bailey.
DISCUSSION
Lee Bowman provided background on Town's traffic policies and the role of the contract traffic
engineer which was followed by a seminar on traffic reports presented by the Town Traffic
Engineer, Mark Wessel.
Orry Korb reiterated Town policy concerning the ability of the Planning Commissioners and Town
Council Members to interact with applicants within the context of the Brown Act restrictions, and
affirmed they must disclose such contacts at the appropriately noticed public meetings. This
discussion will continue on a regular meeting of the Town Council.
Study session also included discussion on the process for Council actions on appeals from the
Planning Commission decisions and remands.
