TOWN COUNCIL
The Town Council/Parking Authority of the Town of Los Gatos met in the Council
Chambers of Town Hall, 100 East Main Street, at 7:45 p.m., Friday, May 12, 1989, in
adjourned regular session.
ROLL CALL
PRESENT:Thomas J. Ferrito
ABSENT:Eric D. Carlson, Robert L. Hamilton, Brent N. Ventura and Mayor Joanne
Benjamin.
Vice Mayor Thomas J. Ferrito noted for the record that there were four (4) people in the
audience at 7:45 p.m. for this meeting. The Vice-Mayor stated that he was convening
the meeting due to the fact that the Mayor was absent.
HEARINGS
Vice Mayor Ferrito asked if there was anyone in the audience to speak to Item #1:
ARCHITECTURE AND SITE APPLICATION S-88-51: 54 CHESTER ST: OWNER -
O'BRIEN: HEARING TO CONSIDER APPEAL OF PLANNING COMMISSION'S
DENYING A BUILDING PERMIT FOR A SECOND STORY ADDITION TO AN
EXISTING SINGLE STORY RESIDENCE IN THE R-1D ZONE. Mr. Raynes noted that
he was present for this issue. Three others in the audience were also present for Item
#1.
Vice Mayor Ferrito announced Item #2: ARCHITECTURE AND SITE APPLICATION S-
88-72: 50 CHESTER ST: OWNER - RAYNES: HEARING TO CONSIDER APPEAL OF
PLANNING DIRECTOR'S DENYING A BUILDING PERMIT FOR THE REMODEL AND
EXPANSION OF A SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE IN THE R-1D ZONE. Mr. Raynes
stated he was present for this item. The three other members of the audience also
stated that they were present for Item #2.
Vice Mayor Ferrito stated that there was no quorum for this evening and that the
Council can not proceed without a quorum. Vice Mayor Ferrito stated that these items
were originally scheduled for Monday, May 15, 1989, but due to an error in computation
by the Clerk's Department, and a request by Mr. Raynes to set a hearing for May 12,
1989 the hearing was changed to this evening. Vice Mayor Ferrito stated that there
appears to be no quorum, so we cannot proceed and further stated that these items are
still on our agenda for Monday night May 15, 1989.
ADJOURNMENT
Vice Mayor Ferrito adjourned the meeting due to the lack of a quorum.
