I am contacting you in regards to your upcoming Town Council Meeting specifically Consent Item #6,
where the Town of Los Gatos, is looking to purchase a replacement wheel loader from Peterson Cat
through the NJPA, National Joint Powers Alliance.

1fb20.pdfI was in contact Steve Regan months ago about the upcoming wheel loader proposal, but may
have been not included or I may have missed out on the bid process for whatever reason.
Attached you will find my proposal and for Consideration, the NJPA price schedule for a New John Deere
544K Wheel Loader, which is equal to the Wheel Loader proposal from Peterson Cat.
Since the NJPA establishes and provides nationally leveraged and competitively solicited purchasing
contracts under the guidance of the Uniform Municipal Contracting Law, manufacturers will decide and
provide discounts based on their intentions to participate aggressively through all municipalities at a
national level. John Deere’s commitment to NJPA is evident as one can see, in the proposal I provided,
potentially saving the Town of Los Gatos a significant amount of funds.
