CONSIDER AN APPEAL OF A PLANNING COMMISSION DECISION DENYING A
REQUEST TO CONSTRUCT A SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENCE ON PROPERTY
ZONED R-1:8. APN’S 529-23-015 AND 529-23-016.
RECOMMENDATION:
The Town Council should review the applicant’s revised proposal (Attachments 19, 20, 22, and
23) and determine whether or not the Council’s direction from the December 6, 2016 hearing
has been adequately addressed.
REMARKS:
On December 6, 2016, the Town Council considered an appeal of the Planning Commission’s
decision denying a request to construct a single-family residence. After opening the hearing
and asking questions of the public and the applicant, the Town Council continued the matter to
a date uncertain, and provided direction to the applicant. At the June 6, 2017 Town Council
meeting, prior to opening the public hearing the Council continued the item to the August 15,
2017 Council meeting at the request of the applicant. In July, it appeared that the August 15,
2017 Council agenda would be lengthy and the applicant agreed to a request from staff to have
the item continued to the September 5, 2017 Council meeting.
