Wheeler) has reviewed geotechnical aspects of the following document prepared for proposed
site improvements at 339 and 341 Bella Vista Avenue in Los Gatos, California.
1. Supplemental Geotechnical Information, Tree Removal, Ross Property, 339 and 341
Bella Vista Avenue, Los Gatos, California, prepared by UPP Geotechnology, prepared
for Mr. Dan Ross, dated May 31, 2017.
Amee Foster Wheeler had previously reviewed geotechnical aspects of the following, related,
project documents:
2. Updated Geologic and Geotechnical Study, Proposed Residential Development, Ross
Property , 339 and 341 Bella Vista Avenue, Los Gatos, California , prepared by UPP
Geotechnology, prepared for Mr. Dan Ross, dated June 25, 2015.
3 . Supplemental Geotechnical Information, Slope Stability, Ross Property, 339 and 341
Bella Vista Avenue, Los Gatos, California , prepared by UPP Geotechnology, prepared
for Mr. Dan Ross, dated April 13, 2016.
And at your request, a representative of Amee Foster Wheeler also attended the May 25 , 2016
Planning Commission Meeting, and the December 6, 2016 Town Council Meeting, and heard
discussions pertaining to the proposed 339 and 341 Bella Vista Avenue project.
A representative of Amee Foster Wheeler visited this site on May 25, 2016 to observe general
site conditions at that time.
It is our opinion that the May 31 , 2017 Tree Removal letter by UPP Geotechnology adequately
addresses concerns pertaining to the impact of tree removal on stability of the slope at the site ,
and provides appropriate recommendations for mitigating erosion that may occur at the site as
a result of tree removal activities.
