CONSIDER AN APPEAL OF A PLANNING COMMISSION DECISION DENYING A
REQUEST TO CONSTRUCT A SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENCE ON PROPERTY
ZONED R-1:8. APN’S 529-23-015 AND 529-23-016.
REMARKS:
The Town’s geotechnical consultant’s peer review of the Supplemental Geotechnical
Information provided by the applicant’s consultant is included as Attachment 25.
Attachment 26 includes public comment received between 11:01 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2017 and
11:00 a.m. Monday, June 5, 2017.
Staff offers the following responses regarding questions raised by a Councilmember relating to
the comment letter submitted by Mr. Tillman on May 31, 2017:
The proposed house is limited to two stories in any one building elevation and
therefore, is not a three-story home.
The proposed cut for the main level of the home complies with the requirements of the
Hillside Development Standards and Guidelines (HDS&G). The additional cut to
accommodate the cellar and its volume is excluded from the calculation of the allowed
maximum for the house and garage pursuant to the HDS&G.
The maximum slope of the proposed driveway would be 15 percent as allowed by the
HDS&G, as indicated on the grading plans (Attachment 1, Exhibit 14, Sheet C2).
