COMMISSION APPOINTMENTS, RESIDENCY AND ATTENDANCE
REQUIREMENTS, AND ESTABLISHING A QUORUM
REMARKS:
The following questions were received from a Council Member and staff responses follow in
italic font:
1. Page 6, Responsibility and Action - Town Council #2: Please clarify that all applicants are
present in the Chambers but interviewed one at a time (different from the December
2016 interviews).
Yes, after discussion, the Policy Committee determined that this would be the best way
to conduct interviews in the future. The Town Attorney clarified that all members of the
public are welcome in the Chambers, including all candidates o.
2. Page 5, Balloting Process #4: Does the Council make a decision at dais? Are there any
parameters for resolving a tie vote?
There are no set parameters to provide the Council flexibility. Alternatively, the Council
can move forward with not filling the spot and re-advertise .
3. Page 5, Balloting Process #3: Please confirm that in case of tie vote, the Council
Members' votes on that tie vote ballot are not announced.
This is Correct.
