Dear Mayor and Council:
As noted in our letter to the Planning Commission in July, we have closely W"dt:ched several
proposals for 26 Alpine (the property immediately to the south of our home) over the past
several years. It is an extremely challenging site that requires an extra special effort to get it
right. We believe the current property owner and development team have gone to
extraordinary lengths to be sensitive to the potential impacts to the environment and the
neighborhood.
Based on the visuals provided by the story poles, we were initially concerned about
privacy /sight lines from the proposed house into our home. We met with the owner and
architect on our property and they have found a solution with the revised shrub/tree plan
(L-1.0) that we believe will protect us.
For these reasons, we are in support of the current proposal for 26 Alpine and urge you to
use this new information along with other data from the applicant to overturn the Planning
Commission and approve this project.
