Main Street Los Gatos, CA 95030 ● 408-354-6832 www.losgatosca.gov TOWN OF LOS GATOS COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT MEETING DATE: 12/18/2018 ITEM NO: 4 DATE: DECEMBER 13, 2018 TO: MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL FROM: LAUREL PREVETTI, TOWN MANAGER SUBJECT: REAFFIRM THE LOS GATOS TOWN COUNCIL CODE OF CONDUCT POLICY 2-04 RECOMMENDATION: Reaffirm the Los Gatos Town Council Code of Conduct Policy 2-04. DISCUSSION: On May 3, 2004, the Town Council established the Town Council Code of Conduct Policy. Subsequently, the Town Council has approved modifications to the Policy and the most recent revision was approved on March 3, 2015 (Attachment 1). The Council Code of Conduct Policy provides guidelines and procedures related to the Town Council's relations and communications with each other, Boards and Commissions, the public, the media, and Town staff. In addition, the Policy describes appropriate Council roles and behaviors before, during and outside of Council meetings, including the specific duties of the Mayor, Vice Mayor and Council liaisons. Given the Council's long-standing commitment to professional and collegial relations as reflected in and supported by the Council Code of Conduct Policy, it is recommended that the Council annually reaffirm the Policy.
