regard to a parking study. This Los Altos study provides an excellent template for the proposed RFP.

Thank you for your thoughts on this. We agree that optimizing existing parking availability is a key first
step and we will be looking at that with the consultant. This is captured in the second goal: optimize
utilization. Within that goal we will be looking at a series of opportunities, including helping folks find
current parking, shifting parking to underutilized locations, and reconfiguring current parking whether
that be through changes in time limits, restriping, one way streets, or other solutions.

Thank you for your reply. I do understand that the Town has been studying a parking garage concept for
sometime.
Given that, one of the goals of the RFP should be to investigate strategies to manage the existing supply
of parking to avoid unnecessary investment. This goal is not mentioned in the RFP, and it probably
should be. I would recommend that it be added to the goals.
