Yes. Thanks if you don’t mind.
I still think the Leonia New Jersey solution is best.
I will send the link in a moment

Good afternoon,
Thank you for taking the time to write and share your experiences. I am sorry that you were caught in
the traffic. Saturday was a particularly difficult day for both of our communities. We did receive calls
and emails about the congestion.
You are correct that there are no easy answers and very likely not a perfect, single solution given the
region's strong economy. In our Council Report, we identify the various items we have tried and are
continuing to try. We are welcoming public comment as part of the item. Would you like me to share
your message below as public comment with our Town Council?
Thank you again for reaching out,
Laurel

Hey Laurel,
I know you are dealing with beach traffic at your next meeting, FYI,
On Saturday I was returning to our home from Marin and got off hwy 85 at Winchester. I got to Blossom
Hill and Santa Cruz at 3 pm and it took my 30 minutes (I timed it) to get to Bachman Ave (the street we
live on). I know this traffic issue is a tangled mess and no easy answer but my experience is no doubt
not unique.
Sorry- sort of that I can’t attend your meeting Tuesday as we have ours as well.
Best
Marshall

Billy,
I am really disappointed to hear your weekend business is down because of traffic. We had many
merchants screaming at us last year and this spring not to close the entrance because it was ruining
their business. It looks like which option is better is business dependent. When we close at wood road
we still grid lock the town north of 9 preventing people north of 9 to get to your business. You must
have people that would normally drive over from closer in Los Gatos.
Thank you. We are starting a parking study soon to see how could/should change parking in terms of
hours, more of it, how to deal with employee parking, and high school parking. I will pass on your
Saturday request on to staff.

Hello Rob,
It was great to receive you email updating all the great work you and the council have been
doing.
I wanted to give you feedback on two issues to consider.
1. Allowing the overpass to be open has really hurt Saturday business. Southern Kitchen's
sales are down $3k-$4k over the weekend. Saturday traffic keeps everyone away from Los
Gatos. It really hurts the town. Implementing last years program routing traffic back on to
17 is highly recommended.
2. The Saturday time limitation ordinance is not good for the town, First, it is not really a
work day and could be a great shopping day if people could park and spend a good part of
the day. I would like to see the parking be identical to Sunday.
Final note...If there is anything I can do to help you be re-elected, let me know.
Sincerely,
Bill at the Boston Chowder House.
