RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR PROJECT 9004
FORBES MILL MUSEUM EARTHQUAKE DAMAGE REPAIR
WHEREAS, the October 17, 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake damaged the Forbes Mill
Museum building, a public facility and a historically significant structure;
WHEREAS, Town staff has developed a 'Detailed Evaluation Safety Assessment"
to identify the nature of said earthquake damage; and
WHEREAS, said 'Detailed Evaluation Safety Assessment" was referred to and
approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to receive federal funds
for the identified earthquake damage;
WHEREAS, the Town Engineer has developed Plans and Specifications for the
implementation of Project 9004 - Forbes Mill Museum Earthquake Damage Repair.
RESOLVED, that these Plans and Specifications entitled "Town of Los Gatos -
Project 9004 - Forbes Mill Museum. Earthquake Damage Repair 1990, on file in the Office
of the Town Clerk, are hereby approved; and

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
advertise, as required by law, for the receipt of sealed bids or proposals for the doing of the
work specified in the aforesaid Plans and Specifications, which said advertisement shall be
substantially in accordance with the Notice to Bidders, attached hereto and made a part
hereof.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council held on
December 17, 1990 by the following vote:
AYES: Randy Attaway, Joanne Benjamin, Steven Blanton, Eric D. Carlson,
and Mayor Brent N. Ventura
NAYS: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
