RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AUTHORIZING THE ADOPTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH
THE AMERICAN NATIONAL RED CROSS FOR DISASTER RELIEF
WHEREAS, Town of Los Gatos, a California municipality
organized and operated under the Constitution and laws of the State
of California wishes to enter into an agreement with the American
National Red Cross for funds and participate with the American
National Red Cross in rehabilitating residential structures damaged
or destroyed in the October 17, 1989, earthquake and subsequent
aftershocks; and
WHEREAS, American National Red Cross is authorized to
make funds available for grants for the purpose of completing
housing rehabilitation or reconstruction; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos wishes to obtain from the
American National Red Cross funds for the purpose of providing
grants for housing rehabilitation costs for eligible homeowners
under a local housing rehabilitation program and providing for an
administrative fee payable to the Local Agency for such services:

NOW, THEREFORE, THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
DOES HEREBY authorize the Town Manager to execute in the name of
the Town of Los Gatos the standard agreement, and other documents
necessary or required by the American National Red Cross for the
participation in the American National Red Cross Grant Program, and
any amendments thereto.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town
Council of the Town of Los Gatos, California, held on the 4th day
of September, 1990, by the following vote:
