RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
INITIATING PROCEEDINGS
LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 1
(Pursuant to Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972)
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS does hereby resolve as
follows:
1. The Town Council proposes to form an assessment district pursuant to the
Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 (Section 22500 and following, Streets and
Highways Code) for the purpose of providing Town landscape maintenance services
within the proposed median island to be constructed in Blackwell Drive west of
National Avenue by the developer of Tract 8306.
2. The proposed assessment district shall be designated Landscaping and Lighting
Assessment District No. 1, Town of Los Gatos, Santa Clara County, California, and
shall include the land shown on the map designated, "Assessment Diagram,
Assessment District No. 1, Town of Los Gatos, Santa Clara County, California,"
which map is on file with the City Clerk and is hereby approved.
3. The Town Engineer of the Town of Los Gatos is hereby designated engineer for the
purpose of these formation proceedings. The Town Council hereby directs the
engineer to prepare and file with the Town Clerk a report in accordance with Article
4 of Chapter 1 of the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972.
4. The Town Clerk is authorized, and is hereby directed to publish a copy of this
resolution in the newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in the
Town of Los Gatos, within fifteen (15) days after the date of its adoption.
