RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
COMMENDING DEBORAH ACOSTA
FOR SERVICE TO THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
WHEREAS, the Town Council appointed DEBORAH ACOSTA Town Manager
of the Town of Los Gatos on January 2, 1986; and
WHEREAS, since that time DEBORAH has devoted countless hours of personal
dedication to ensure that the Town's government has delivered responsive, quality services
to the Community; and
WHEREAS, DEBORAH'S management style has been one of respect, trust and
open communications with the Town Council, community groups and staff alike; and
WHEREAS, DEBORAH'S ability to communicate has fostered strong community
relations between the Town and community groups such as the Chamber of Commerce and
the Downtown Association; and
WHEREAS, DEBORAH'S management style has developed a positive working
relationship with all Town staff; and
WHEREAS, DEBORAH'S personal sense of professionalism and excellence in
government has caused her to assemble one of the strongest and most capable management
teams in the State; and
WHEREAS, under DEBORAH'S leadership and direction significant
accomplishments have been made in achieving the quality of life goals of the Town Council,
including but not limited to the finalization of the Town's Parking Assessment District and
the initiation of the relocation and expansion of the Los Gatos Memorial Library; and
WHEREAS, DEBORAH'S leadership strength was further demonstrated in her
role as Director of Emergency Services during the moments and months following the
October 17, 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake; and
WHEREAS, DEBORAH'S creative and enthusiastic yet ever professional
approach to managing the Town's government will be sadly missed by all.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that it is with deep appreciation that
the Town council of the Town of Los Gatos hereby renders its thanks to DEBORAH
ACOSTA for her contributions to the citizens of the Town of Los Gatos during her tenure
as Town Manager.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos, California, held on the 20th day of February, 1990 by the following
vote:
