RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
COMMENDING DEBRA J. FIGONE'S
SERVICE TO THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
WHEREAS, DEBRA J. FIGONE joined the Los Gatos Town staff as the
Assistant Town Manager in October 1986; and
WHEREAS, DEBRA was responsible for the on -going internal operations of
Town Hall including Personnel, Finance, Information Systems, and Budget Preparation; and
WHEREAS, DEBRA also completed a variety of special projects which have
substantially contributed to the furtherance of a professional approach to public policy
decision making; and
WHEREAS, among the special projects deserving special recognition is the
revised Operating and Capital Budget process and format which is more understandable to
the public and provides a direct connection between the source and use of public funds and
comprehensive analysis of Town -wide fees and charges; and
WHEREAS, DEBRA can be particularly proud of the efforts she has made in
bringing technological advances to the Town's organization including a Town -wide phone
system with electronic voice mail, the Town's information systems master plan, and the first
introduction of personal computers and lap top computers into the Town's office
environment; and
WHEREAS, DEBRA can also feel proud of the positive relationships she
formed with the entire Town staff; and
WHEREAS, DEBRA will be long remembered by the staff for her intellect,
impartiality, willingness to listen and ability to help others analyze and find the best solution
to difficult problems; and
WHEREAS, DEBRA is recognized for her continuous dedication and her
devotion of unlimited tireless hours to the completion of sometimes impossible assignments.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Town Council wants to commend
DEBRA as a true professional who will be long missed as a valuable asset to the Los Gatos
community.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos, California, held on the 20th day of February, 1990 by the following
vote:
