A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS APPROVING THE ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED AS COWELL ROAD #3
TO THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa
Clara, State of California that
WHEREAS, the proposed annexation to the Town of Los Gatos consisting of
all that unincorporated territory designated as Cowell Road J13 Annexation,
located on the westerly side of Cowell Road, (also known as Cypress Way), in the
County of Santa Clara is proposed for annexation to the Town of Los Gatos
pursuant to Part 2 of Title 4, Division 3, commencing with Section 56000 or seq.
of the Government Code;
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos has received a petition signed by all the
owners of land within the territory to be annexed, and pursuant to Section 56837
of the Government Code, the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos may initiate
proceedings to annex said territory without notice, hearing or election, in the
manner described in Section 57002 of the Government Code of the State of
California, and make the following findings:
1. The project is categorically exempt from CEQA Class #15119(a).
2. The territory is "Uninhabited" as defined in Section 56046 of the
Government Code of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council finds that these findings are correct, and the
territory proposed for annexation is situated in the unincorporated area of the
County of Santa Clara, and is contiguous with the municipal boundaries of the
Town of Los Gatos.
RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, a municipal
corporation of the County of Santa Clara, State of California, that pursuant to
the provisions of Sections 56837 and 57002 of the Government Code of the State
of California, the annexation to the Town of Los Gatos of that territory
designated as Cowell Road #3, and described in real property description and map
attached hereto, marked Exhibits "A" and "B ", respectively, is approved, and that
the same be annexed to the Town of Los Gatos.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon completion of these annexation proceedings the
territory annexed will be taxed in Town of Los Gatos Tax Rate A, including taxes
for existing bonded indebtedness.
FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk is authorized, and is hereby
directed, pursuant to Section 57200 of the Government Code, to prepare under seal
a certified copy of this resolution, giving the date of passage, and immediately
transmit same along with a remittance to cover the fees required by Section
54902.5 of the Government Code to the Executive Officer of the Local Agency
Formation Commission of Santa Clara County.

of Los Gatos held on the 5th day of February, 19990 by the following vote

to the Town of Los Gatos
All that certain real property situated in the County of Santa Clara, State
of California, more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the most northwesterly corner of that certain
annexation to the Town of Los Gatos known as Cowell Road # 2 (County
# 266); thence S 18° 13' 30" E, 213.07 feet along the southwesterly
boundary of said annexation; thence leaving said annexation
southerly along an arc of a curve to the right tangent to the
preceding course with a radius of 75.00 feet though a central angle
of 82° 42' 00" for an arc distance of 108.25 feet; thence
southwesterly on a reverse curve to the left with a radius of 150.00
feet through a central angle of 33e 24' 00" for an arc distance of
87.44 feet; thence the following courses and distances:
S 31° 04' 30" W 33.73 feet; thence
N 29° 09' 20" W 145.31 feet; thence
N 61° 09' 15" E 52.40 feet; thence
