RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AUTHORIZING THE USE OF TOWN STAFF
SERVICES AND OTHER EXPENDITURES FOR
REDEVELOPMENT PURPOSES AND ACCOUNTING
FOR SUCH SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, on November 20, 1989
introduced an ordinance declaring the need for a redevelopment agency to function in the
Town of Los Gatos pursuant to the California Community Redevelopment Law (Health and
Safety Code Section 3300 et. seq.); and
WHEREAS, said ordinance establishing the Town of Los Gatos Community
Redevelopment Agency (the "Agency ") is recommended for adoption on December 4, 1989
and if adopted will become effective on January 4, 1990; and
WHEREAS, prior to the effective date of said ordinance the Town desires to
provide the services of the administrative and technical staff of the Town of Los Gatos in
order to expedite the planning for redevelopment; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council has retained the services of an attorney
specializing in redevelopment to assist in the planning for redevelopment; and
WHEREAS, the Town may have other expenditures for redevelopment purposes
including but not limited to the Town's contribution to Parking Assessment District #4,
the Town Hall expansion project, and /or other supplies or materials to assist in the
planning for redevelopment.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS
GATOS DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Town Council hereby authorizes and instructs the
Town staff to proceed with the planning and preparation
of documents and materials for adoption of a
redevelopment plan pursuant to the Community
Redevelopment Law.

2. Time and expenses of Town staff and /or consultants for
legal and planning services connected with redevelopment,
or any other expenditures for redevelopment purposes,
shall be separately identified and accounted for as
redevelopment costs, and shall constitute an indebtedness
of the agency to be repaid to the Town by the agency, with
interest at 9% per annum, from revenues to be received by
the agency, including the allocation of taxes under Section
33670 of the Community Redevelopment Law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos, California, held on the 4th day of DECEMBER 1989 by the following
vote:
