RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS REMANDING
TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION THE APPEAL OF A
DECISION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION GRANTING
APPROVAL OF PLANS TO CONSTRUCT A NEW SINGLE
FAMILY RESIDENCE IN THE R- 1:10,000 ZONE
(241 PLAZA LA POSADA - RONALD HAAS /E. J. GEORGE)
WHEREAS:
1. E. J. George has appealed a decision of the Planning
Commission as follows: approval of plans to construct a new single
family residence in the R- 1:10,000 zone on property located at 241
Plaza La Posada and owned by Michael and David McMackin, applicant
Ronald J. Haas (Architecture and Site Application 5- 89 -35); and
2. A public hearing was schedule before the Town Council for
October 16, 1989 and was continued at the request of the Appellant
to November 6, 1989 and held on said date.
BE IT RESOLVED:
1. The Town Council hereby finds that the Planning Commission
erred by not considering the neighborhood compatibility of the
proposed structure.
2. Based on the foregoing finding, the Town Council hereby
remands the matter to the Planning Commission with review by the
Development Review Committee to consider reduction in size to be
more compatible with the neighborhood structures.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council
of the Town of Los Gatos, California, held on the 20th day of
November, 1989 by the following vote.
