RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS PROHIBITING PARKING EXCEPT BY PERMIT ON
EDELEN AVENUE, MILES AVENUE, MULLEN AVENUE, BENTLEY AVENUE, UNIVERSITY AVENUE
RESOLVED, that pursuant to the Los Gatos Town Code, Section 16 -44, "Parking
Regulation ", the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos does hereby establish
the following traffic regulation:
1. STOPPING, STANDING, OR PARKING PROHIBITED
Stopping, standing, or parking of any vehicle on the following streets
without a permit or guest pass issued by the Town of Los Gatos is hereby
prohibited between the hours of 6:00 p.m, and 2:00 a.m. daily.
Edelen Avenue, both sides, from Mullen Avenue to Bentley Avenue, as shown
on the attached Exhibit A.
Miles Avenue, both sides, from University Avenue to Los Gatos Creek
Channel, as shown on the attached Exhibit A.
Mullen Avenue, north side, from University Avenue to Edelen Avenue as shown
on the attached Exhibit A.
Bentley Avenue, both sides, from University Avenue to Edelen Avenue, as
shown on the attached Exhibit A.
University Avenue both sides from Mullen Avenue to Saratoga Avenue as shown
on the attached Exhibit A.
Portions of any resolutions previously adopted that are in conflict
therewith are hereby rescinded.
The Director of Parks, Forestry and Maintenance Services is hereby
instructed to install appropriate signs and /or curb markings giving notice to
the public of this action.
2. Permits:
The following parties are entitled to the following preferential parking
permits on the following terms.
a. Each resident in the preferential parking zone is entitled to one
permanent parking permit for each vehicle registered to his /her
residence address, with a maximum of four permits for each address,
and also to two visitor parking permits.
b. One visitor permit shall also be issued to the non resident owner(s)
of each address within the preferential parking zone.
C. Resident owners may apply for temporary visitor parking permits for
special events. There shall be a refundable security deposit of $1.00
for each such temporary visitor permit.
3. Rescission of Prior Resolutions
Any other prior resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby rescinded.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos held on the 2nd day of October, 1989 by the following vote:
