RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DENYING APPEAL
OF PLANNING COMMISSION DECISION TO DENY REQUEST FOR
APPROVAL OF PLANS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A SINGLE - FAMILY
RESIDENCE IN THE RC ZONE AND REMANDING THE
APPLICATION TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION
(15291 SHANNON ROAD - GEORGE AND SIMONE TZANAVARAS)
WIIEREAS:
1. Simone Tzanavaras has appealed a decision of the Planning Commission as
follows: denial of request for approval of plans for construction of a single - family residence
in the RC zone on property located on Shannon Road and owned by George and Simone
Tzanavaras (Architecture and Site Application S- 89 -7); and
2. A public hearing was held by the Town Council on September 5, 1989.
BE IT RESOLVED:
1. The Town Council hereby finds that no testimony or evidence was presented that
the decision of the Planning Commission was in error.
2. The Town Council hereby further finds that it is appropriate to remand the
application to the Planning Commission with review by the Development Review
Committee to consider the following: reduction in the height, square footage and volume
of the structure; elimination of stucco as a primary material; changing the front entry;
including a deed restriction prohibiting further subdivision of parcel; and review of
compatibility of the structure with the surrounding countryside including the blending in
with use of color. The remand of Architecture and Site Application S -89 -7 shall be without
any additional fees to be paid by the applicant.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos, California, held on the 2nd day of OCTOBER, 1989 by the following vote:
