A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF PUBLIC RIGHT -OF -WAY
LOCATED AT ROBERTS ROAD (WEST) ADJACENT TO 300 BLOSSOM HILL ROAD,
FOR SUBDIVISIONS IMPROVEMENT PURPOSES.
RESOLVED:
1. It is the intention of the Town Council to vacate, under the
provisions of Division 9, Part 3 (Sections 8300 through 8331) of the Streets
and Highways Code, a portion of a public road right -of -way situated in the Town
of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of California, consisting of a strip
of land approximately 146 feet long containing approximately 2,744 square feet
located along the easterly side of Robert Road (West), south of Blossom Hill
Road, and more particularly described in Exhibit "A" (Description of a portion
of Roberts Road to be Abandoned (Roberts Road West, adjacent to 300 Blossom
Hill Road) by the Town of Los Gatos), and Exhibit "B" (Plat to Accompany De-
scription for portion of Roberts Road to be Vacated), copies of which are
attached hereto. Said Exhibits show the particulars as to the proposed aban-
donment, and are available for public inspection in the Office of the Town
Clerk of the Town of Los Gatos, Civic Center, 110 East Main Street, Los Gatos,
California.
2. Public Service Easements, as required, shall be dedicated over the
area to be abandoned.
3• October 16, 1989, in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 110
East Main Street, Los Gatos, California, the Town Council will hold a public
hearing to consider whether or not the right -of -way is necessary for present or
prospective public use. The meeting will begin at 7:30 P.M. All persons
interested are invited to attend and be heard.
4. The Town Clerk is authorized, and is hereby directed to publish a copy
of this resolution in a newspaper of general circulation, published and circu-
lated in the Town of Los Gatos, within fifteen (15) days after the date of its
adoption.
5. The Mayor of the Town of Los Gatos is authorized, and is hereby directed to
execute that document entitled, "Notice of Abandonment of a portion of Public
Right -of- Way ", a copy of which is attached hereto, and the Town Engineer is
authorized, and is hereby directed to conspicuously post three (3) copies of said
Notice, not more than 300 feet apart, on at least fourteen (14) days before the date
of the public hearing above designated.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos held on the 18th day of September, 1989 by the following vote:
