RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
COMMENDING DR. JEFFREY E. BROWN
OF THE LOS GATOS ARTS COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Jeffrey E. Brown has served the Town of Los Gatos as a
commission member of the Town's Arts Commission since 1986; and,
WHEREAS, during this period, he has unselfishly contributed his time,
energies and capabilities to both the Arts Commission and the community, and
has assisted the Commission on special projects including, but not limited to
the following:
- Initiating, writing and implementation of the Master Plan for the
Arts;
- Fundraising planning and implementation;
- Development of the Friends of the Arts;
- Coordination of projects between the Arts Commission, the Friends
of the Arts, and other groups;
- Chairing the Los Gatos Center for the Arts Committee which researched
performing arts space needs and helped support the development of
a local theater group.
WHEREAS, the Town Council feels that such outstanding public service
deserves special recognition;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Los Gatos Town Council does
hereby render, with genuine appreciation, its gratitude and commendation to
Jeffrey E. Brown for his service to the Town and its citizens as a commission
member of the Town's Arts Commission.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos, California, held on the 21st day of AUGUST, 1989 by the following
vote.
