A RESOLUTION COMMENDING JOHN SMART
FOR TWENTY -NINE YEARS OF SERVICE
TO THE LOS GATOS MEMORIAL LIBRARY
WHEREAS, JOHN SMART has served on the Los Gatos Memorial Library Board since
August, 1960; and
WHEREAS, JOHN SMART was active in facilitating the library's move to its current
building; and
WHEREAS, JOHN SMART attended many California Library Association conferences as
an active participant in the library trustees' chapter; and
WHEREAS, JOHN SMART has promoted the library's interest with the Los Gatos Lions'
Club and other local organizations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Los Gatos Town Council does
hereby commend, thank, and express its appreciation and gratitude to JOHN
SMART for the meritorious service he has given to Los Gatos and its citizens as
a member of the Los Gatos Memorial Library Board.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF LOS GATOS, CALIFORNIA, at a
regular meeting held this seventh day of August, 1989 by the following vote:
