RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
COMMENDING ART DOWNING
OF THE LOS GATOS MUSEUM COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Art Downing has served the Town of Los Gatos as a commission
member of the Town's Museum Commission since 1986; and,
WHEREAS, during this period, he has unselfishly contributed his time,
energies and capabilities to both the Museum Commission and the community, and
has assisted the Commission on special projects including, but not limited to
the following:
1. Writing and Implementing of the Museum's Plan and Facilities Plan;
2. Financial Planning and Implementation;
3. Service as a Docent at Forbes Mill Museum; and,
4. Past Service on the Forbes Mill Museum Advisory Board, and Present
Service on the Los Gatos Museum Association Board.
WHEREAS, the Town Council feels that such outstanding public service
deserves special recognition;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Los Gatos Town Council does
hereby render, with genuine appreciation, its gratitude and commendation to Art
Downing for his service to the Town and its citizens as a commission member of
the Town's Museum Commission.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos, California, held on the 15th day of MAY, 1989, by the following
vote:

L. Hamilton, Brent N. Ventura, Mayor Joanne
Benjamin.
