A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE COMPENSATION
FOR THE ELECTED AND NON - ELECTED DUTIES
OF THE TOWN CLERK
WHEREAS, on November 8, 1988 Marian Cosgrove was elected to the position
of Town Clerk;
WHEREAS, on November 28, 1988 the election results were certified; and
WHEREAS, effective December 5, 1988, Marian Cosgrove assumed the duties of
the elected Town Clerk as described on Attachment A as "Elected Responsibilities
of Town Clerk "; and
WHEREAS, on December 19, 1988 the Town Council appointed Marian Cosgrove
to assume other appointed duties of the Town Clerk's Office as described on
Attachment A as "Non- Elected Responsibilities of Town Clerk "; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council sets the compensation for the elected duties
separately from the compensation for the non - elected duties of the Town Clerk.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the annual salary for the Town Clerk effective
December 5, 1988 is $15,000 for elected duties plus the additional amount of
$10,000 for non - elected duties and that the Town shall contribute seven (7)
percent of Clerk's total salary to the Public Employee's Retirement System (PERS)
as the employee -paid contribution, premium cost for coverage in the Town's health
and dental plan, and a monthly car allowance of $75; and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, this compensation shall remain in force through the
balance of the fiscal year 1988 -89.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Los Gatos, California, held on the 3 day of January , 1989 by the
following vote:
