A RESOLUTION COMMENDING CATHERINE N. SMITH
WHEREAS, Catherine N. Smith served as a member of the Planning Commission
since September 19, 1983 and
WHEREAS, during this period she unselfishly contributed her time, energies
and capabilities to both the Commission and the community; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council feels that such outstanding public service
deserves special recognition;
WHEREAS, she has given her time to advance the planning process within the
Town; and
WHEREAS, during her tenure, Catherine assisted the Planning Commission in
the following major studies and projects:
a. Adoption of the 1985 General Plan
b. Adoption of the Town -wide Traffic Policy
c. Served on the General Plan Committee, Historic Preservation Committee,
Architectural Standards Committee, Route 85 Committee, served on and
chaired the Noise Abatement Committee and served as liaison with Commu-
nity Services Commission;
WHEREAS, Catherine's concern for human needs ensured that the Commission
looked at issues from a different perspective;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Los Gatos Town Council does hereby
render, with genuine appreciation, its gratitude and commendation to Catherine
N. Smith for her service to the Town and its citizens as a member of the
Planning Commission.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos at
a regular meeting held this 6 day of September
19 by the following vote:
