1988-074-Proclaiming May 8 Through May 14, 1988 "Municipal Clerk's Week"RESOLUTION NO. 1988 -74 RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS PROCLAIMING MAY 8 THROUGH MAY 14, 1988 "MUNICIPAL CLERK'S WEEK" WHEREAS, the Municipal Government has grown in responsibility and importance with the emphasis on local initiative and the democratic process, and WHEREAS, the Town Clerk serves as the communications link between the public and their Municipal Government, giving them access to information which is vital to their participation, and WHEREAS, the Town Clerk provides a direct link between past and present, preserving valuable records for posterity while implementing decisions of the legislative body, always looking to the future, and WHEREAS, the Town Clerk strives diligently to find better and more efficient ways to perform these critical functions, and WHEREAS, it is appropriate that each year we recognize the accomplishments of the Town - Clerk, who preserves the past with an eye always on the future of our democratic process. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the week of May 8 through May 14, 1988, is proclaimed to be "MUNICIPAL CLERK'S WEEK" PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, California at a regular meeting held this 2 day of May, 1988, by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Joanne Benjamin, Thomas J. Ferrito, Robert L. Hamilton, Brent N. Ventura, and Mayor Eric D.
