1988-033-Commending John Schmuck For 34 Years Of Service With The TownRESOLUTION NO. 1988 -33 A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS COMMENDING JOHN SCHMUCK FOR 34 YEARS OF SERVICE WITH THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS WHEREAS, JOHN F. SCHMUCK has lead the development of the Los Gatos Memorial Library for 34 years, from October 1, 1953 to December 31, 198 7; and WHEREAS, under his leadership, the Library's circulation of books per capita has grown to the second highest in the State of California for libraries in its size category; and WHEREAS, he has shown unfailing respect and consideration for management, staff and patrons; and WHEREAS, under such harmonious cooperation, all Library patrons have been given outstanding service in filling their needs and requests; and WHEREAS, under his philosophy of public service, a truly excellent and diverse book and media collection has been developed; and WHEREAS, under his guidance and planning, the Library was relocated twice, the present site being the winner of an architectural award as part of the Town Center complex; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that all Councilmembers of the Town of Los Gatos do hereby commend JOHN F. SCHMUCK on his diligent, personalized dedication to a high standard of public library service to both his community and to all who enter Los Gatos Memorial Library. PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, California, held on the I day of FEBRUARY 1988 by the following vote: AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS Thomas J. Ferrito, Robert L. Hamilton, Brent N. Ventura and Mayor Eric D.
