RESOLUTION REMANDING TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION THE APPEAL
OF PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVAL OF PLANS FOR CONSTRUCTION
OF A SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE IN THE R- 1:8,000 ZONE,
SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS
(104 MILLRICH DRIVE - JEROME I. BLOCK)
WHEREAS:
1. Jerome I. Block has appealed a decision of the Planning
Commission as follows: Approval of plans for construction of a single
family residence in the R- 1:8,000 Zone, subject to conditions, on property
located at 104 Millrich Drive and owned by G. and C. Carlsted
(Architecture and Site Application s- 87 -49); and

2. A public hearing was held by the Town Council on January 4,
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED:
1. The Town Council hereby finds that the Planning Commission
erred in not considering the special shape of the parcel and the concerns
regarding the development on the lot raised at the public hearing on the
appeal of the subdivision approval.
2. Based on the foregoing, the Town Council hereby remands the
appeal to the Planning Commission for consideration of the following
issues:
a. Reduce the size of garage to a two (2) car garage;
b. Move the house as close to the Winchester Boulevard
setback as possible;

C. Sink the house at least two (2) feet into the ground;
d. Consider stepping back the second story to give the
appearance of a one and one -half story house.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos, California, held on the 19 day of January
1988 by the following vote.
