RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BLACK & BLAND AND THE ABAG PLAN
TO SETTLE TORT CLAIMS NOT EXCEEDING THE SUM OF $1,500.00
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos is a member of the Association of Bay Area
Governments (ABAG) liability pool known as ABAG PLAN Corporation; and
WHEREAS, Black & Bland is the claims administrator for the ABAG PLAN Corporation
for all claims filed after July 1, 1987; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council wishes to delegate settlement authority for tort
claims not exceeding the sum of $1,500.00 to said claims administrator;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos
does hereby delegate settlement authority for tort claims against the Town, its
officers and employees not exceeding the sum of $1,500.00 to Black & Bland in its
capacity as claims administrator for the ABAG PLAN Corporation and the ABAG PLAN.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Los Gatos, California, held on the 19 day of October 1987 by the
following vote.

Thomas J. Ferrite, Robert L. Hamilton & Mayor Brent N. Ventura
