A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE LOS GATOS
CENTENNIAL, INC.'S DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS
WHEREAS, the Los Gatos Centennial Volunteers collectively organized a varied
schedule of celebratory events, up to this time, which included Centennial History
classes, a Victorian Garden Party,(Special Events and Fund - Raising Committees) two
Sweetheart Centennial Balls,(Special Events Committee) the Centennial Chomp and
Stomp,(Fund- Raising Committee) a parade, a musicale and ice cream social,(Special
Events Committee) the Los Gatos Centennial Pageant, and the Centennial Town picnic
and its Finale Show,(Special Events Committee); and,
WHEREAS, the Centennnial volunteers cooperated with a wide variety of community
based organizations and service groups such as the Art Docents of Los Gatos,
C.A.S.A., fling Quong, Old Town, the Jay Cees and Chamber of Commerce, the Town of
Los Gatos Arts Commission and Sister Cities Committee, the Lions Club and many other
groups; and,
WHEREAS, all Townspeople benefitted and enjoyed these celebrations and events; and,
WHEREAS, the history of our Town was emphasized; and,
WHEREAS, community pride and involvement was strengthened.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Los Gatos Town Council does hereby commend,
thank, and express its appreciation and gratitude to Communications Committee
consisting of Kathy Tuttle as Chair and Committee members Karrie Grasser, Timmy
Lumby, Nancy McCormick, Lynne Seay and Geri de Moss for the Chamber of Commerce.
The Los Gatos Town Council looks forward to the Sealing of the Centennial Time
Capsule on December 20, 1987.

a regular meeting held this 8th day of September , 1987 by the
