A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
COMMENDING PAUL BUTTS
WHEREAS, PAUL BUTTS has served the Town of Los Gatos as a member of the Parks
Commission from Qrch of 1975 through April of 1987 and;
WHEREAS, during this period he has unselfishly contributed his time, energy, and
capabilities to the community in helping to provide a quality Parks and Urban
Forestry Program and;
WHEREAS, PAUL BUTTS was instrumental in organizing and implementing a community
effort to develop La Rinconada Park with neighborhood volunteers and students from
West Valley College and;
WHEREAS, PAUL BUTTS performed a leadership role in the planning and development
of Blossom Bill Park, Belgatos Park, Worcester Park, the expansion of La Rinconada
Park, and the refurbishment of Oak Meadow Park,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Los Gatos Town Council does hereby
commend, thank, and express its appreciation and gratitude to PAUL BUTTS for the
meritorious service he has given to Los Gatos and its citizens.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos, California, held on the 6th day of July 1987
by the following vote.
