A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
CONCERNING AN AMENDMENT TO THE DOWNTOWN SPECIFIC PLAN
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Government Code Section 65453, the
Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos conducted a public hearing for
consideration of amendment to the Downtown Specific Plan on May 5, 1987.
WHEREAS, during this hearing the Town Council considered Downtown
Specific Plan Amendment GP -87 -6 concerning the sales and rental of new and used
automobiles in the Central Business District.
RESOLVED: The Town Council finds that the amendments will not have a
significant impact on the environment and makes the Negative Declaration.
FURTHER RESOLVED: The (own Council finds that the Los Gatos Downtown
Specific Plan Amendment GP -87 -6 (a) meets the requirements for a specific plan,
(b) is consistent with the Town of Los Gatos General Plan, and (c) that all
proceedings have been conducted in compliance with the provisions of Government
Code Section 65453 et sea.
FURTHER RESOLVED: The Town Council amends the Land Use Section of the
Downtown Specific Plan as follows:
Land Use Implementation Section B.l.d is amended to read:
The C -2 zone shall be amended to allow the continuance of automobile
sales and rental activities that existed in 1982 and are consistent
with the pedestrian scale and character of the downtown upon the
issuance of a Conditional Use Permit.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town
Council of the Town of Los Gatos held on the 1st day of June
1037 by the following vote.

Hamilton, and Mayor Brent N. Ventura
