TOWN OF-' LOS GATOS
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
CONCERNING AMENDMENTS TO THE GENERAL PLAN
WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 65353, the Town Council
conducted a public hearing for consideration of amendments to the Los Gatos,
General Plan on May 4 and May 18Y 1987"
WHEREAS, during these hearings the Town Council considered all of the items
shown in Resolution No" 87-1 and Resolution No. 87-4 of the Planning
Commission.
WHEREAS, the amendments included in this Resolution shall be considered
General Plan Amendment No" 2 for 1987.

RESOLVED: The Town Council finds that General Plan Amendments GP-66-4 and
GP-87-5 will not have a significant impact on the environment and makes the
Negative Declaration"
FURTHER RESOLVED: The Town Council finds that Los Gatos General Plan
Amendment GP-86-4 and GP-87-5: (a) are internally consistent with the Town of
Los Gatos General Plan, and (b) that all Proceedin2s have been conducted in
compliance with the Provisions of Government Code Section 65350 et seq.
FURTHER RESOLVED: The Town Council hereby amends the General Plan LaAd Use
Plan for the properties located along the east side of Winchester Boulevard
from Bruce Avenue to Pleasant View as shown on Exhibit A.
FURTHER RESOLVED: The Town Council amends the Land Use Element of the
General Plan as follows:
Land Use implementation Section 2.5.13 is added to read:
13"
Businesses engaged in retail sales and rental of new and used automobiles
wK1ch existed in 1982 and are located in the Central Business District
shall be able to apply for a Conditional Use Permit to remain at the same
location. Any applicant for such an existing facility must demonstrate
that the continued use does not impair the integrity of the zone"
