RESOLUTION OF THE T0WN OF LOS GATOS SUPPORTING
"RING AROUND THE BAY BIKE AND PEDESTRIAN PATH"
WHEREAS, Los Gatos supports the concept of natural bike and pedestrian
pathways for residents to enjoy, and
WHEREAS, Senator Bill Lockyer has proposed legislation to create a bike and
pedestrian "Ring Around the Bay ", and
NHEREAS, this concept provides for new and existing paths to be linked in
one continuous route, and
WHEREAS, the path would secure public access to the bay without conflicting
with efforts to preserve the bay and its natural environment, and
WHEREAS, this plan is consistent with the goals of the Los Gatos Town
Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED that the Council supports the concept of a
"Ring Around the Bay
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Los Gatos, California, held on the 16th day of March 1987 by the
following vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEI1BERS Eric D. Carlson, Thomas J. Ferrito, Robert
L. Hamilton, and Mayor Brent N. Ventura
NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS None
ABSTAIN: COUNCIL MEMBERS None
ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS Joanne Benjamin
