RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE REENACTMENT
OF THE GENERAL REVENUE SHARING PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the General Revenue Sharing Program has been in existence
since January 1973;
WHEREAS, the General Revenue Sharing Program is due to expire as of
September 30, 1986;
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos has depended on the funds to provide
for much needed community services through funding of non-
profit service providers and for capital projects related to
improving handicapped accessibility;
WHEREAS, the absence of these funds will have the effect of providing
less funding for the community services;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Council of Los Gatos encourages
the House of Representatives and the United States Senate to
support reenactment of the General Revenue Sharing Program at
full funding beginning with the fiscal year 86 -87.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos,
California at a regular meeting held this 7th day of April, 1986, by
the following vote:
