PARKING PROHIBITION EXCEPT BY PERMIT
ON A PORTION OF LEROY AVENUE
RESOLVED, that pursuant to the Los Gatos Town Code, Section 16 -50,
"Establishment of Preferential Parking Zones" and California Vehicle Code
Section 22507, the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos does hereby establish
the following traffic regulations:
1. STOPPING, STANDING OR PARKING PROHIBITED
Stopping, standing, or parking of any vehicle on the following streets
without a permit or guest pass issued by the Town of Los Gatos is hereby
prohibited between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., daily:
Leroy Avenue, north side, from a point 65 feet westerly of the west curb
line of Los Gatos Boulevard to a point 485 feet westerly.
Leroy Avenue, south side, from a point 162 feet westerly of the west curb
line of Los Gatos Boulevard to a point 385 feet westerly.
(Refer to the attached Exhibit "A ")
The Director of Parks, Forestry and Maintenance Services is hereby
instructed to install appropriate signs and /or curb markings giving notice
to the public of this action.
2. PERMITS
The following parties are entitled to the following preferential parking
permits on the following terms:
a. Each resident in a preferential parking zone is entitled to one
permanent parking permit for each vehicle registered to his /her
residence address. A maximum of four permits will be provided for each
address. In addition, two visitor parking permits will be provided for
each residence address.
b. One visitor permit shall also be issued to the non - resident owner(s) of
each address within the preferential parking zone.
C. Resident owners may apply for temporary visitor parking permits for
special events. There shall be a refundable security deposit of $1.00
for each such temporary visitor permit.
3. RESCISSION OF PRIOR RESOLUTIONS
Any other prior resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby rescinded.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos held on this 3rd day of March , 1986 by the following votes:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS Eric D. Carlson, Thomas J. Ferrito,
Brent N. Ventura, and Mayor Terrence J. Daily
NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS None
ABSTAIN: COUNCIL MEMBERS Joanne Benjamin
ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS None
