A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE EXCESS PORTION OF A PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY
LOCATED AT GARDEN HILL DRIVE FOR PUBLIC ROAD PURPOSES (16650 LARK AVENUE)
1. It is the intention of the Town Council to vacate, under the provisions of
Division 9, Part 3 (Sections 8300 through 8331) of the Streets and Highways Code, a
public road right-of-way situated in the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara,
State of California, consisting of a strip of land approximately 125 feet long
containing approximately 610 square feet located along the southerly side of Garden
Hill Drive at Lark Avenue, and more particularly described in Exhibit "A"
(Description of Excess Portion of Public Right-of-Way to be Abandoned [Garden Hill
Drive at Lark Avenue] by the Town of Los Gatos), and Exhibit "B" (Plat to Accompany
Description of Public Right-of-Way Abandonment), copies of which are attached
hereto. Said Exhibits show the particulars as to the proposed abandonment, and are
available for public inspection in the Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Los
Gatos, Civic Center, 110 East Main Street, Los Gatos, California.
2. Public Utility Easements shall be retained over the area to be abandoned.
3. On April 7, 1986, in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 110 East
Main Street, Los Gatos, California, the Town Council will hold a public hearing to
consider whether or not the right-of-way is necessary for present or prospective
public use. The meeting will begin at 7:30 P.M. All persons interested are invited
to attend and be heard.
4. The Town Clerk is authorized, and is hereby directed to publish a copy of
this resolution in a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in
the Town of Los Gatos, within ten (10) days after the date of its adoption.
5. The Mayor of the Town of Los Gatos is authorized, and is hereby directed to
execute that document entitled, "Notice of Abandonment of Excess Portion of a Public
Right -of- Way ", a copy of which is attached hereto, and the Town Engineer is
authorized, and is hereby directed to conspicuously post three (3) copies of said
Notice, not more than 300 feet apart, on at least ten (10) days before the date of
the public hearing above designated.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos held on 3rd day of March, 1986 by the following vote:

BY THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
All that property situate in the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara,
State of California, being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the center line of Lark Avenue with Arroyo Grande Way as
shown on that certain Record of Survey recorded in Book 162 of Maps,
at Pages 49 and 50, Santa Clara County Records, and running South 850
34' East 691.12 feet (record distance - 691.01 feet measured distance)
thence; South 310 26' West 80.00 feet along the dividing line between
Lots 15 and 16 as shown on the subdivision of part of the Walker
Tract, recorded in Book "F" of Maps at Page 40; thence
South 580 34' East 65.00 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING: thence
South 310 26' West and parallel with the dividing line between said
Lots 15 and 16, 102.01 feet; thence North 40° 18' 58" East 32.38 feet;
thence North 31° 26' East and parallel with the dividing line between
said Lots 15 and 16, 77.29 feet; thence South 860 02' 04" East 27.60
feet; thence North 580 34' West 9.49 feet and parallel with center
line of Lark Avenue to the beginning of a tangent curve concave
Northwesterly and a radius of 20.00 feet; thence Northwesterly along
last mentioned curve through a central angle of 90° 00' 00" an arc
distance of 28.28 feet to the true point of beginning.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on March 3, 1986, the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of California, adopted Resolution
No. 1986 -31 entitled, "A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE AN EXCESS PORTION
OF A PUBLIC RIGHT -OF -WAY LOCATED AT GARDEN HILL DRIVE FOR PUBLIC ROAD
PURPOSES ", located along the Easterly side of Garden Hill Drive at Lark Avenue.
A copy of said Resolution No. 1986 -31 , and a map entitled, "PLAT TO ACCOMPANY
DESCRIPTION OF A PUBLIC RIGHT -OF -WAY ABANDONMENT ", showing the particulars as
to the proposed vacation are on file in the Office of the Town Clerk of the
Town of Los Gatos, Civic Center, 110 East Main Street, Los Gatos, California,
and are available for inspection during regular business hours.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that on April 7, 1986 in the Council Chambers of
the Civic Center, 110 East Main Street, Los Gatos, California, the Town Council
will hold a public hearing on the question of whether or not the easement is
necessary for present or prospective public use. The Council meeting will
begin at 7:30 P.M. All persons interested are invited to attend and be heard.
