A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A SIDEWALK EASEMENT
LOCATED ALONG NORTH SANTA CRUZ AVENUE & ELM STREET
RESOLVED:
1. It is the intention of the Town Council to vacate, under the provisions of
Division 9, Part 3 (Sections 8300 through 8331) of the Streets and Highways Code, a
sidewalk easement situated in the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of
California, consisting of a strip of land approximately 156.88 feet long containing
approximately 1715 square feet located along the easterly side of
North Santa Cruz Avenue and the northerly side of Elm Street, and more particularly
described in Exhibit "A" (Description of Sidewalk Easement to be Abandoned along
North Santa Cruz Avenue & Elm Street by the Town of Los Gatos), and Exhibit "B"
(Plat to Accompany Description of Sidewalk Easement Abandonment), copies of which
are attached hereto. Said Exhibits show the particulars as to the proposed
abandonment, and are available for public inspection in the Office of the Town Clerk
of the Town of Los Gatos, Civic Center, 110 East Main Street, Los Gatos, California.
2. On January 21, 1986, in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 110 East
Main Street, Los Gatos, California, the Town Council will hold a public hearing to
consider whether or not the easement is necessary for present or prospective public
use. The meeting will begin at 7:30 P.M. All persons interested are invited to
attend and be heard.
3. The Town Clerk is authorized, and is hereby directed to publish a copy of
this resolution in the Los Gatos Weekly, a newspaper of general circulation,
published and circulated in the Town of Los Gatos, within ten (10) days after the
date of its adoption.
4. The Mayor of the Town of Los Gatos is authorized, and is hereby directed to
execute that document entitled, "Notice of Abandonment of a
" Sidewalk Easement ", a cony of which is attached hereto, and the Town
Engineer is authorized, and is hereby directed to conspicuously post three (3)
copies of said Notice, not more than 300 feet apart, on at least ten (10) days
before the date of the public hearing above designated.

Gatos held on L6.hday of pPembp 198a by the following vote:

All that property situate in the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State
of California, being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the Northeasterly line of Elm Street and the
Southeasterly line of North Santa Cruz Avenue as shown on that Record of Survey
filed for record in Book 536 of Maps at Page 51 Santa Clara County Records;
thence leaving said POINT OF BEGINNING alonn said Northeasterly line of Elm
Street South 649 30'00" East, 12.00 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence
leaving said TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING and said Northeasterly line North 22"
00'00" West, 17.69 feet to a point on the Southeasterly line of North Santa Cruz
Avenue; thence along said Southeasterly line North 20' 30'00" East 59.72 feet;

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on December 16, 1985, the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of California, adopted
Resolution No. 1985 -185 entitled, "A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE
SIDEWALK EASEMENT FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES ", located along
the easterly side of North Santa Cruz Avenue and northerly side of Elm Street.
A copy of said Resolution No. 1985 -185, and a map entitled, "PLAT TO ACCOMPANY
DESCRIPTION OF SIDEWALK EASEMENT ABANDONMENT ", showing the particulars as to
the proposed vacation are on file in the Office of the Town Clerk of the Town
of Los Gatos, Civic Center, 110 East Main Street, Los Gatos, California, and
are available for inspection during regular business hours.
