RESOLUTION COMMENDING SUSAN T. SIMEK
WHEREAS, Susan T. Simek has served the Town of Los Gatos with
outstanding service as a Town employee;
WHEREAS, Susan began employment with the Town on August 30,
1965 as Secretary to the Town Manager, and continued in that capacity
until April 30, 1976 when she left Town employment for a short respite;
WHEREAS, Susan returned to the employment of the Town on
January 2, 1978;
WHEREAS, Susan had decided to retire from the Town service
effective December 27, 1985 to enjoy other aspects of life;
WHEREAS, Susan has provided guidance, inspiration, direction
and assistance to the Town Manager, many Mayors and Councilmembers;
WHEREAS, Susan's decision to retire is understandable, it is
accepted with deep regret by all;
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Town Council on behalf of all Town
employees extend their deep appreciation for many years of service,
and wish Susan every happiness and joy in the forthcoming years.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council
of the Town of Los Gatos held on the 16th day of December 1985
by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS Joanne Benjamin, Thomas J. Ferrito,
Brent N. Ventura and Terrence J.
Daily.
NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS None
ABSTAIN: COUNCIL MEMBERS None
ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS Eric D. Carlson
