RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS APPROVING
THE APPLICATION AND THE PROJECT AGREEMENT FOR
HISTORIC PRESERVATION GRANTS -IN -AID FUNDS FOR
HISTORIC RESOURCES INVENTORY SURVEY PROJECT
WHEREAS:
1. The Congress under Public Law 89 -665 has authorized the
establishment of a National Historic Preservation Grants -in -Aid
Program, providing matching funds to the State of California and
its political subdivisions for historic preservation, survey,
planning, development and acquisition projects; and
2. The State Department of Parks and Recreation is responsible
for the administration of the program within the state, setting
up necessary rules and procedures governing application by local
agencies under the program; and
3. Said adopted procedures established by the State Department
of Parks and Recreation require the applicant to certify by
resolution the approval of applications and the availability of
local matching funds prior to submission of said applications to
the state:
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED:
1. The Town Council approves the filing of an application for
the National Historic Preservation Grants -in -Aid assistance for
an Historic Resources Inventory Survey project; and
2. The Town Council appoints the Town Manager or his /her
authorized deputy as agent of the Town to coordinate, process and
execute all contracts, agreements, amendments and ancillary
documents within the scope of the attached application; and
3. The work of the Town Historic Preservation Committee and the
staff of that committee shall represent an in -kind contribution
of the Town.

of the Town of Los Gatos he dl on the 18th day of November
1935, by the follwing vote:
