A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A FIVE FOOT WIDE WIRE CLEARANCE
EASEMENT ACROSS THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 196 COLLEGE AVENUE
(APN 529 -31 -057)
RESOLVED:
1. It is the intention of the Town Council to vacate, under the provisions of
Division 9, Part 3 (Sections 8300 through 8331) of the Streets and Highways Code, a
wire clearance easement situated in the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara,
State of California, consisting of a strip of land approximately 115 feet long
containing approximately 575 square feet located across the northerly and westerly
sides of the property located at 196 College Avenue, and more particularly described
in Exhibit "A" (Description of A Wire Clearance Easement to be Abandoned by the Town
of Los Gatos), and shown on Exhibit "B" (Plat to Accompany Description of Wire
Clearance Easement Abandonment), copies of which are attached hereto. Said Exhibits
show the particulars as to the proposed abandonment, and are available for public
inspection in the Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Los Gatos, Civic Center,
110 East Main Street, Los Gatos, California.
2. On September 16, 1985, in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 110
East Main Street, Los Gatos, California, the Town Council will hold a public hearing
to consider whether or not the easement is necessary for present or prospective
public use. The meeting will begin at 7430 P.M. All persons interested are invited
to attend and be heard.
3. The Town Clerk is authorized, and is hereby directed to publish a copy of
this resolution in the Los Gatos Weekly, a newspaper of general circulation,
published and circulated in the Town of Los Gatos, within ten (10) days after the
date of its adoption.
5. The Mayor of the Town of Los Gatos is authorized, and is hereby directed to
execute that document entitled, "Notice of Abandonment of A Wire Clearance
Easement ", a copy of which is attached hereto, and the Town Engineer is authorized,
and is hereby directed to conspicuously post three (3) copies of said Notice, not
more than 300 feet apart, on at least ten (10) days before the date of the public
hearing above designated.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos held on 19th day of August , 1985 by the following vote:

All of that wire clearance easement (W.C.E.) as shown on Lot 11 of
that certain map entitled, "Tract No. 3884 - Hillcrest Chalets ",
recorded in Book 229 of Maps at Pages 21 R 22 on October 20, 1967, in
the Office of the Santa Clara County Recorder.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on August 19, 1985, the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of California, adopted
Resolution No. 1985 -125 entitled, "A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A FIVE
FOOT WIDE WIRE CLEARANCE EASEMENT ACROSS THE PROPERTY LOCATED At 196 COLLEGE
AVENUE (APN 529 -31 -057). A copy of said Resolution No. 1985 -125, and a map
entitled, "PLAT TO ACCOMPANY DESCRIPTION OF WIRE CLEARANCE EASEMENT
ABANDONMENT ", showing the particulars as to the proposed vacation are on file
in the Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Los Gatos, Civic Center, 110
East Main Street, Los Gatos, California, and are available for inspection
during regular business hours.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that on September 16, 1985 in the Council Chambers
of the Civic Center, 110 East Main Street, Los Gatos, California, the Town
