RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF LOS GATOS APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR
COMMUNICATIONS LOGGING TAPE RECORDING SYSTEMS "A" and "B"
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos
to operate an Emergency Communications Center as manifest in Project 306, and
WHEREAS, the Police Department has presented specifications for the tape
recording equipment required for such a center to operate;
RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa
Clara, State of California, that these specifications entitled TOWN OF LOS
GATOS, REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, COMMUNICATIONS LOGGING TAPE RECORDING SYSTEM "A ";
and TOWN OF LOS GATOS, REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, COMMUNICATIONS LOGGING TAPE
RECORDING SYSTEM "B "; be accepted, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to advertise, as required by law, for the receipt of sealed bids or proposals
for doing the work specified in the aforesaid specifications, which said
advertisement shall be substantially in accordance with the Notice to Bidders,
attached hereto and made a part hereof.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of
the Town of Los Gatos held on the 15th day of July 1985, by
the following vote:

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by the Clerk of the
Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of California, in the office
of the Town Clerk, 110 East Main Street, Los Gatos, California 95030, until
3:00 PM August 7, 1985, for Purchase from the successful bidder of:
THE PURCHASE OF A COMMUNICATIONS LOGGING RECORDER /REPRODUCER, "A" or "B"
SPECIFICATION, COUPLING DEVICES, INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE, AND
ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT AS DESCRIBED IN THE BID SPECIFICATIONS.
FOR USE BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.
All bids shall be made on Bid Forms provided by the Town of Los Gatos, which
are pages 23 through 33, Specification "A "; and /or pages 24 through 34,
Specification "B "; of the Specifications Document, which must be signed and
returned with the bid proposal. No bid shall be considered which is not
received by the Town Clerk prior to the time and date above designated. The
Town of Los Gatos shall have a period of sixty (60) days within which to accept
any bids, during which time all bids shall remain in full force and effect.
The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive
any irregularities or informalities in said bids or in the bidding process or
procedures. The Town Council shall be the sole judge of whether any bid for
any item of equipment which may not comply with all of the specifications
satisfies the requirement of substantial compliance.
Copies of the required Bid Form, Notice to Bidders, Information to Bidders, and
Specifications may be secured from the Town Clerk, 110 East Main Street, Los
Gatos, California, any time prior to the date and time for receipt of bids set
forth in this notice.
