A RESOLUTION COMMENDING TOWN MANAGER DAVID R. MORA
WHEREAS, DAVID R. MORA (DAVE) has, since January 1981, served the residents
of the Town of Los Gatos as Town Manager with a sense of dedication,
initiative, and accomplishment; and
WHEREAS, DAVE has consistently directed his energies toward the fulfiillment
of policies set forth by the Town Council -- including the:revision
of the General Plan and preparation of the Downtown Specific Plan;
the installation of automated financial, word - processing, and record -
management capabilities; acquisition of Novitiate open- space; the
Villa Vasona senior housing project on Parr Avenue and the designation
of Below Market Price units at several other new housing projects;
revision of the Town's budget procedures; and implementation of pay
equity through the Comparable Worth process; and
WHEREAS, DAVE has chosen to resign his position here at Los Gatos for that of
City Manager in the City of Oxnard, California, where his outstand-
ing administrative capabilities will focus on a city of some 125,000
residents of diverse social and economic backgrounds, a city facing
major growth and development that will require the services of over
900 public service employees;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
that DAVID R. MORA be commended for the significant contributions he has made
to Los Gatos Government during his four a-nd a half years as its Town Manager;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Council does hereby extend to DAVE, his
wife, JUDY, and his daughters, TERESA and GABI, its sincere best wishes for
continued happiness, success and personal and professional fulfillment as they
move on to a new life in Oxnard, and its unqualified appreciation to DAVE for
a job well done.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS, CALIFORNIA,
at a regular meeting held this 17th day of June, 1985, by the following
vote:
