A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
LOS GATOS COMMENDING DR. PAUL V. COLLINS FOR
OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO THE TOWN
WHEREAS, DR. PAUL V. COLLINS has, since 1970, served with distinction the
residents and students of the Town of Los Gatos in many capacities
and as District Superintendent of the Los Gatos - Saratoga Joint Union
High School District for the last five years; and
WHEREAS, DR. COLLINS has directed a major part of his energies toward the advance-
ment of teachi.ngand teaching opportunities through improvements in the
selection of teachers, administrators, and staff and the stronger role
of the school in the development of such traits as integrity, positive
attitudes, and good citizenship; and
WHEREAS, DR. COLLINS has consistently worked toward the establishment of what
is now known as the Institute of Computer Technology in an effort to
prepare students for entry into today's computer age workforce -- not
only upon graduation from college but upon graduation from high school,
as well; and
WHEREAS, this dedication to education in general and Los Gatos - Saratoga Joint
Union High School District in particular is culminating in DR. COLLINS,
retirement on June 30, 1985;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
that DR. PAUL V. COLLINS be commended for his significant contributions to the
parents and students of the Joint Union High School District over the past 15
years; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Council does hereby extend to DR. COLLINS
its sincere hope that his so richly deserved retirement is one of deep satisfaction
and person fulfillment.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS, CALIFORNIA, at a
regular meeting held this 20th day of May 1985, by the
following vote:
