RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION
WITH THE METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION
FOR ALLOCATION OF TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT FUNDS
FOR FISCAL YEAR 1984 -85
WHEREAS, the Transportation Development Act of 1971 provides for the
disbursement of funds from the Local Transportation Fund of the County of
Santa Clara for use by eligible claimants for the purpose of
nedestrian/bicvcle Projects; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the rules and regulations that have been adopted
by the Secretary of the Business and Transportation Agency of the State of
California in accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned
legislation, an eligible claimant wishing_ to receive an allocation from
the Local Transportation Fund shall file its application with the
appropriate transportation planning agency; and
WHEREAS, funds from the Local Transportation Fund will be required to
construct a pedestrian /bicycle pathway along a portion of Los Gatos Creek.
RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos that the Town
Engineer is authorized to execute and file an appropriate claim pursuant
to the terms of the Transportation Development Act of 1971, as amended,
and pursuant to applicable rules and regulations promulgated thereunder,
tooether with all necessary supporting documents, with the Metropolitan
Transportation Commission, for fiscal year 1984 -85 Transportation
Development Act monies.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the
Metropolitan Transportation Commission in conjunction with the filing of
the claim, and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission be reouested to
concur in these findings and grant the allocation of funds as specified
herein.

the Town of Los Gatos held on 20th day of May
